Coach Miller served as an assistant coach for the Bulldogs in 2013 and began his tenure as Head Coach in 2014..  In his tenure, the Bulldogs have reached the playoffs every season and 19 Bulldogs have signed to play college baseball.  His coaching stops include Copiah-Lincoln CC (MS), Southwest MS CC, Southeastern LA U, Texas A&M - Corpus Christi and Tioga HS(LA). He also spent time as an Associate Scout for the Kansas City Royals and Pittsburgh Pirates. 

     He holds an A.A. in Secondary Education from Southwest MS CC, a B.A. in Kinesiology from Southeastern LA U, a M.A. in Kinesiology(Sport Psychology) from Southeastern LA U, and his Principal Certification from Lamar University. 

     During Coach Miller's time in Banquete, he has produced 119 Academic All District players, 13 Academic All State players and 4 NHSBCA Academic All Americans.  The teams have also earned five straight American Baseball Coaches Association Team Academic Excellence Awards.

     He is married to Shena Bausch of Calallen and has two children; Bailey(17) and Ripken(12).

     Coach DelaPaz has been a part of the Banquete program since 2016 and serves many different roles.  His primary roles are hitting and arm care.  However, Coach Johnny plays a vital role in the placement of our players into college baseball. Numerous phone calls and time go into the placement of our players.  

     Coach Johnny is married to Cathy DelaPaz and they have three sons: Jay, Angel, and Isaak.  

Coach Pena joined the Bulldogs in the 2020 season as an Assistant coach.  He works with our outfielders and pitchers.  He is from Zapata and played college baseball at Laredo CC.  He is a graduate of TAMUK and teaches Social Studies at  Banquete Jr High.

Coach Pena is married to Carina Pena and they have a son Ethan. 

Coach Hernandez is in his first season as a Bulldog and will be assisting in multiple aspects of the game, mainly coaching our infielders.  Coach Hernandez attended Calallen HS and TAMUCC.  He teaches Special Education at the high school.  

Coach Hernandez is the proud father of his son Wrigley. 

Coach Davis joined the Bulldog program in 2023.  He also serves as the Assistant Band Director and elementary music teacher.  He works with all positions and is a great addition to the program.
